Where your gift goes

Choose a cause and give to it directly, or give to the Appeal and let it be allocated where the need is greatest. Either way your receipt says exactly who received it.

Archdiocesan funds

The funds the Archdiocese itself holds: clergy, heritage, education, the running of the Church.

Wherever the need is greatest

An unrestricted gift to the Archbishop's Appeal is allocated by the Appeal to the greatest need across the Archdiocese of Port of Spain: parish support, clergy formation, Catholic education, social outreach and the upkeep of sacred heritage. Every allocation is reported on the transparency pages.

Archdiocesan fund

Clergy formation and the seminary

Pays for the training of men studying for the priesthood at the Seminary of St John Vianney and the Uganda Martyrs: tuition, board, books and the formation staff who teach them. A gift here funds the priests of the next twenty years.

Archdiocesan fund

Sacred heritage

Keeps the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and the historic churches of the Archdiocese standing: roofs, stonework, windows and the specialist conservation that ordinary parish income cannot carry.
